Please respond in writing to each item and include the location(s) of the changes to expedite the re -review. Please resubmit 3 sets of plans/documents (affected sheets only) and written comments to Marie Harrison, Senior Permit Coordinator. 1. The frontage increase calculations for Buildings 6 & 7 (mainly 7) do not meet the requirements of IBC 506.2 for adjoining or having access to a public way or open space with approved fire lane. The Fire Marshal has noted this in his comments with regards to fire fighter access. It appears that you may be able to meet allowable area with sprinkler increases alone (IBC 506.3). Revise the allowable area calculations on the coversheet accordingly. If you have questions concerning approved fire lanes and fire fighter access, please contact the Fire Marshal directly. 2. Show locations of all grill openings in the concrete walls on the floor and structural plans. Sheet 5/A3.2 shows a grill in the approximate location of the 2 hour fire wall Where the fire wall intersects the exterior wall of the garage, a 1 -hour rated wall must be provided for a distance of 4 feet on either side of the fire wall.
