During review of the above noted application, it was found that the following information,
corrections, or clarifications are needed. Please redline plans or submit two (2) sets of revised
pians/documents (affected sheets only) with a written response to each of the items below to a
Permit Coordinator.
1) A search of our archive records shows that in 1967 the rear "existing garage building" was
converted to a Guest House. No permits were shown to convert it back to a garage. Please
clarify use of space for rear detached building.
2) Show pool equipment location on the site plan. Note: mechanical equipment supported from the
ground shall rest on level concrete or equivalent base not less than three (3) inches above ground
level. All outdoor heating and electrical equipment shall be approved for outdoor installation.
3) Provide detail of fence and gate to show that they comply with the pool requirements in our
Swimming Pool Handout B75 attached. Also clarify on the site plan full extent of 6' fence
required to enclose pool area.
4) Provide the piping layout, indicate all pipe sizes, indicate how pool will be filled, indicate if a
chemical injection system will be used, etc. Specify type and model of each cross connection
control device.
5) Per the 2004 Washington State Energy Code all heated swimming pools shall be equipped with
a pool cover. Please specify on the plans type of proposed pool cover.
6) Engineer of Record to verify that new pool retaining wall will not have a surcharge imposed on
it from the existing garage foundation 3' away. if a surcharge will be imposed provide
calculations to justify wall was designed to carry this additional load.
