During review of the above noted application, it was found that the following information,
corrections, or clarifications are needed. Please redline plans or submit two (2) sets of revised
plans/documents (affected sheets only) with a written response to each of the items below to a
Permit Coordinator.
1) Datum point in street says pin. Please specify what type of pin was used (survey pin?) so the
building inspector will know what exactly to look for at height inspection.
2) Specify all insulation R values on the section views (R-38 ceiling, R-30 vaulted, R-21 wall and
R-30 floor).
3) Specify height of guardrail (half wall) at top of stairs open to below. Also, guardrails are
required to resist 200 psf and the in -fill components must resist 50 psf per Table R301.5. Note
on plans.
4) R403.1.3 requires all vertical rebar to have a standard hook. Revise all foundation details to
reflect.
5) Provide calculation for garage door 4x12 header with 16' span.
6) Clearly show how all loads from interior 4x 10 dining room/kitchen hallway headers are carried
to bearing.
7) Calculation for 3 1/8x 10 %Z garage beam is for ll' and plans show a span of 13'-4". Revise
calculation for 13'-4" span.
8) Provide calculation for 4x12 garage beam with 11'-9" span.
9) Provide calculation for bedroom 2 header including point load from girder truss above.
