During review of the above noted application, it was found that the following information,
corrections, or clarifications are needed. Please redline plans or submit two (2) sets of revised
plans/documents (affected sheets only) with a written response to each of the items below to a
Permit Coordinator.
1) Specify how both 4x10 beams on the North side deck will be carried to bearing at the exterior
wall side of the house. Currently nothing is shown supporting this side of the beams.
Conventional construction would be either to post down in the existing exterior wall of the
house to the foundation or add two additional posts and footings under this side of the beams.
Revise plans to meet conventional construction or provide stamped and signed calculations done
by a Washington State Licensed Professional Engineer for alternate support method.
2) Maximum ledger lag bolt size and spacing is 3/8" x 4 %2" at 4" o.c. Revise ledger detail or
provide calculations stamped and signed by a Washington State Licensed Professional Engineer
for size and spacing shown on the plans.
