The subject application has been reviewed but cannot be completed until the following items have been
addressed/corrected.
1. Show the location of the pump house.
2. 8/21/06 - Show where the sewer line goes into the house and where the pump house connects to the sewer line. The
connection point to the house side sewer must have a cleanout with a 12” locking lamphole cover.
9/22/06 – I understand there is not actually a pump house, but rather just a pool equipment pad. The pool is
not allowed to gravity drain with a direct connection to the side sewer. The pool water is to be pumped to a
sanitary sewer cleanout provided on the exterior of the house, near the pool. This cleanout shall have a 12”
locking cast iron lamphole cover.
Show the location of the sanitary sewer cleanout (and lamphole cover requirement) and indicate how the pool
water will be drained, on the site plan. Will it be pumped by the pool equipment (from the drain at the bottom
of the pool) and then flow from the pool equipment on the concrete pad to the sanitary sewer cleanout or will
there be a separate pump operation that will suck the water from the pool and pump it to the cleanout (no drain
at the bottom of the pool). Again, a direct connection from a drain at the bottom of the pool to the sanitary
sewer is not permissible.

4. 8/21/06 - If pool will have an auto fill device, a backflow device is required. Show the location of the backflow
device. If it will be filled using a garden hose, an AVB device must be placed on the hose bibb.
9/22/06 – It is not clear to me from the information submitted how the pool will be filled. Please clarify how
backflow prevention will be achieved.
