Dear Applicant,
I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division and it was found that the following
information, corrections, or clarifications will need to be addressed before review can continue:
Height Calculations:
1. The second story decks are not supposed to be included in the height rectangle (since
they’re not covered). Please shift points A and B further south a bit and revise height calculations on sheet P2
and on the elevations if necessary. Please make sure that if moving these points further south changes your
height calculations (which it may), be sure to check the math so that the maximum height is 30’ higher than the
average grade (currently sheet P2 shows the average grade as 75.16 and the maximum height as 106.16, which
is 31’). Redlining these changes is perfectly acceptable.
Landscaping:
2. Please review and respond to the following items.
a. The ADB required additional landscaping between the landscape wall and the east property line to screen
the block wall from the property to the east. They would also like the Pinus Nigra relocated. Please revise
the landscaping plan as necessary.
-- I may have missed it, but it doesn’t look like this item was addressed in the last submittal.
b. The Planning Inspection fee for landscaping is equal to one percent of the landscaping estimate ($65
minimum charge). Please provide a landscaping estimate so the inspection fee can be calculated.
-- Please submit this item for my review as soon as it becomes available.
