Chevy Chase, P.E., S.E., CG Engineering, PLLC cc: Date: October 6, 2006 Re: 7-11 Store Damage Assessment, Project #06192.12 8101 238`' St SW Edmonds, WA 98026 A site visit was conducted by CG Engineering on October 6, 2006 at the 7-11 store located at 8101 2381" St SW to assess damage caused by the impact of an automobile. The building is a single story, 50 foot by 50 foot wood -framed structure. At the front of the store there appears to be a beam which spans approximately 30 feet between supports. The damage is limited to two, 6'-3" wide by T-10" tall windows as well as the metal frame which held them in place. The metal frame has been bent out of place, but does not bear load from the roof, and is not connected to the framing above. The roof framing was not observable at the time of the site visit. However, the roof framing either bears on the two side walls or is carried around the storefront windows by a header. Based on what was observable and engineering judgment the damage to the storefront is non-structural. Foundation anchor bolts were also not observable at the time of the site visit. If anchor bolts are found to be damaged during the replacement of the metal frame and windows, it shall be brought to the attention of a structural engineer for guidelines of required repairs. oT _W 23I25 g STS' t01ALjpD EXPIRES: 7/6/2008 1
