During review of the revisions for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please submit written responses to the comments below, including
where changes can be found on the plans, and 2 sets of revised plans/documents (affected sheets only) to
Marie Harrison, Permit Coordinator,
1. As discussed in the 10/23/06 meeting and in subsequent e-mails, revise Type B kitchens to meet
ICC/ANSI Al 17.1 section 1004.12.
2. As discussed in the 10/23/06 meeting and in subsequent e-mails, revise entry doors on the corridor side
of Type B units to meet required maneuvering distances per ICC?ANSI Al 17.1 sections 404.2.3 and
1004.5.1. Please dimension the minimum maneuvering distance.
3. As discussed in the 10/23/06 meeting, the decks for units 201 and 301 are shown larger than originally
approved. A separate permit and fees is required for the additional area/construction. Clearly show and
dimension the additional deck area and note the additional deck square footage on the plans.
4. As discussed in the 10/23/06 meeting, a 20 foot shearwall has been removed for the combining of units
302 and 303. Provide revised structural plans and calculations stamped and signed by the structural
engineer of record for City review and approval.
5. As noted in the 10/23/06 meeting, there are outstanding non -conforming items noted in the Special
Inspection reports that must be addressed by the structural engineer of record, and revisions
(stamped/signed) submitted for City approval, before framing will be approved.
6. There is a lot of information on the approved floor plans and elevations for the building that is not
shown on the revised plans that were submitted. Please include.
7. The clear floor spaces at the bathrooms (per the pdf. plans e-mail 10/24/06 where you have chose to
comply with Option B):
a. Units 203, 204, 210, 211, 203/303, 304,307,310,311: Dimension the minimum required
clearances for a forward approach to the toilet per ICC/ANSI Al 17.1 section 1004.11.3.1.2
b. Unit 207: Dimension the minimum clearances for a parallel approach at the toilet.
