Dear Applicant,
I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division and it was found that the following
information, corrections, or clarifications will need to be addressed before review can continue:
Address:
1. Please verify the address submitted for the Seoul Plaza site. You indicated that the address is
3883
“230” Highway 99 but I think it is really “230” – please check and if necessary, change the address on the
plans.
Lighting:
2. Will your signs be illuminated in any way? If so, please show this on the plans.
Site Plan:
3. I’m having difficulty figuring out which wall signs are on which building elevations
(north/south/east/west sides of the building). Please sketch a site plan (see enclosed handout for assistance) and
show the building footprint and the length of the building. Or, please add a directional label to the plans (for
example, write “East Elevation” on the plans that show the wall sign that is to be located along the east side of
the building, which faces Highway 99 – I just need to be able to understand where these signs are going to be
located).
Window Signs:
4. Please provide the dimensions of the windows that the window signs are to be located. I think
you tried to show this in your plans, but I am unclear which area is the window and which area is the proposed
window sign. Please label so I understand the dimensions of both the windows and the window signs. Please
review the applicable Edmonds Community Development Code (ECDC) section below regarding window signs
– this is how I will be reviewing your proposal. ECDC 20.60.035.A states that for the CG zone, the maximum
area of the window signs is “1 square foot per each lineal foot of window frontage.” So, if your window is 5
feet long, then the maximum sign area for that window would be 5 square feet.

sheets only) with a written response to each of the above items. Please make all submittals to the Development
Services Permit Coordinator (Theresa Umbaugh) Monday through Friday, 9am to noon or 1pm to 4pm. If you have
