RE: Plan Check #2006-1176
Project: Summe Medical Remodel
Project Address: 7614 195' St. SW
During review of the above noted project, it was found that the following information, clarifications or
changes are needed. Please submit 2 sets of revised plans/documents to Marie Harrison, Permit
Coordinator.
1. On the coversheet note the occupancy of the tenant spaces (B).
2. Relabel floor plan to "upper floor" and provide information on the coversheet of the plans for
the entire building. Specify the occupancies of all tenants in the building.
3. Doors 101 and 102 must meet ICC/ANSI A117.1 Section 404.2.5 for doors in series (see
enclosed).
4. Dimension required accessible maneuvering distances at doors 106, 104, 102, and 101 (see
enclosed).
5. At least one female and one male restroom must be accessible unless determined to be
technically infeasible per State Amendment to IBC 3409.7.9, then one restroom must be
accessible for use by both sexes. If it is technically infeasible, your architect must submit a
written request (stamped and signed) to the Building Official stating why providing both
accessible restrooms is technically infeasible. Restroom 017A is noted on the plans as
accessible, but does not appear to meet the minimum requirements and does not match the
details on Sheet A3. Provide site specific details showing compliance.
6. Dimension clearance at opening from hallway to Staff Area 015A for accessibility.
7. Alterations are being made to the accessible area of primary function which must meet current
accessibility codes. The accessible route of travel to and throughout the primary function areas
must also be brought up to code unless State Amendment to IBC 3409.6 exception 1 is used. If
you use this exception, the Architect of record must provide letter (stamped and signed) stating
what accessible upgrades will be made as part of this permit and show that the cost of accessible
upgrades is at least 20% of the total project cost. Please have your architect contact me if he has
questions.
8. Provide a mechanical plan showing supply and return in each room for ventilation, including
layout of existing and proposed ductwork. IMC 403.1
