Please submit 2 sets of revised plans/documents to Marie Harrison, Permit Coordinator. 1. On the coversheet note the occupancy of the tenant spaces (B). 2. Relabel floor plan to "upper floor" and provide information on the coversheet of the plans for the entire building. Specify the occupancies of all tenants in the building. 3. Doors 101 and 102 must meet ICC/ANSI A117.1 Section 404.2.5 for doors in series (see enclosed). 4. Dimension required accessible maneuvering distances at doors 106, 104, 102, and 101 (see enclosed). 5. At least one female and one male restroom must be accessible unless determined to be technically infeasible per State Amendment to IBC 3409.7.9, then one restroom must be accessible for use by both sexes. If it is technically infeasible, your architect must submit a written request (stamped and signed) to the Building Official stating why providing both accessible restrooms is technically infeasible. Restroom 017A is noted on the plans as accessible, but does not appear to meet the minimum requirements and does not match the details on Sheet A3. Provide site specific details showing compliance. 6. Dimension clearance at opening from hallway to Staff Area 015A for accessibility. 7. Alterations are being made to the accessible area of primary function which must meet current accessibility codes. The accessible route of travel to and throughout the primary function areas must also be brought up to code unless State Amendment to IBC 3409.6 exception 1 is used. If you use this exception, the Architect of record must provide letter (stamped and signed) stating what accessible upgrades will be made as part of this permit and show that the cost of accessible upgrades is at least 20% of the total project cost. Please have your architect contact me if he has questions. 8. Provide a mechanical plan showing supply and return in each room for ventilation, including layout of existing and proposed ductwork. Distance be- tween two hinged or pivoted doors in series shall be 48 inches (1220 mm) minimum plus the width of any door swinging into the space. The space between the doors shall provide aturning space complying with Section 304. 404.2.6 Door Hardware. Handles, pulls, latches, locks, and other operable parts on ac- cessible doors shall have a shape that is easy to grasp with one hand and does not require (a) Chapter 4. Accessible routes tight grasping, pinching, or twisting of the wrist to operate. Operable parts of such hardware shall be 34 inches (865 mm) minimum and 48 inches (1220 mm) maximum above the floor. Where sliding doors are in the fully open posi- tion, operating hardware shall be exposed and usable from both sides. EXCEPTION.
