Items 2 and 4 from the City's Plumbing Permit Submittal Requirements are missing from the
permit application. Please provide.
On the schematic plans, show the main building shut off, pressure reduction valve, shut off for
each unit, and dishwashers.
Show the location of the water heaters on the floor plans, and note whether they are gas or
electric. If gas, show how combustion air will be provided per IFGC 304 (also see prohibited
locations in WAC 51-56 section 505.1 (State amendment to UPC)).
Show how water heater will be vented to the outside and maintain 1 -hour fire ratings at floor -
ceilings and walls (including shaft, lined joist bays, soffits, etc.).
Hilti fire stopping submittal:
a. The Hilti fax notes that this is for "ABS through gyp floor", however the UL
assembly (W -L-2340) is for plastic pipe through a gyp wall assembly, not a floor.
b. The assembly is also for a steel stud wall, while the approved plans show no steel
stud walls, except for the steel runners at the 1 -hour shaft detail. On the plumbing
plans, show where this fire stopping assembly applies within the building.
c. Provide listed and tested fire stopping assemblies for all penetrations of 1 -hour rated
floor -ceiling, roof -ceiling, and wall assemblies that match the construction shown on
the approved plans and type of pipe penetration.
