During review of the above noted revision, it was found that the following information, corrections, or
clarifications are needed. Please redline plans or submit two (2) sets of revised plans/documents (affected
sheets only) with a written response to each of the above items to a Permit Coordinator.

2) Per IRCR309.3 garage floor surfaces shall be of approved non-combustible material. R202 definition
of non-combustible material states that non -combustibility must meet ASTME136. ASTM E136
specifically states that it is not intended to apply to laminated or coated materials therefore the
plywood floor with `fluid applied membrane" is not considered a non-combustible surface. Please
revise to approved non-combustible surface such as concrete and revise calculations to account for
additional loads. Original plans showed slab on top of the joists. Please specify floor material to be used
on top of existing floor joists. If concrete please include additional weight in calculations.
