During review of the above noted application, it was found that the following information,
corrections, or clarifications are needed. Please redline plans or submit two (2) sets of revised
plans/documents (affected sheets only) with a written response to each of the items below to a
Permit Coordinator.
1) Specify wall and floor insulation R -Values. Because the basement is being converted from
unfinished to finished space it must meet the minimum R-21 wall and R-30 floor or R-10 under
slab requirements of the Washington State Energy Code. If these can not be met please provide a
written proposal of alternate upgrades you are willing to do to compensate for review by the
.Building Official (i.e. additional blown in attic insulation, replace older windows with newer
more energy efficient windows, etc.).
