Dear Applicant,
I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division and it was found that the
following information, corrections, or clarifications will need to be addressed before review can continue:
Height:
1. Please provide the height of the deck and stairs on the elevation view.
Critical Areas Checklist:
2. We do not have a Critical Areas Determination for this property. I have
enclosed a Critical Areas Checklist for you to complete and turn back in (along with the $135 review
fee) as soon as possible, as these take approximately two weeks to process. If it is found that there
are critical areas (streams, wetlands, or geologically hazardous areas) on or adjacent to the property,
then study materials may be required for a project, depending on the scope of work. I took a look at
one of our topography maps for the area and it looks like there may be a steep slope in the rear yard.
Steep slopes are those with a slope of 40% or more (it would be an erosion hazard area if the slope
was between 15-39%). For steep slopes, a geotechnical report would be required for projects
proposed closer than 50 feet from the top of the slope. I would be happy to go over this with you in
further detail.

(affected sheets only) with a written response to each of the above items. Please make all submittals to
the Development Services Permit Coordinator (JoAnne Zulauf) Monday through Friday, 9am to noon or
