Lynnwood, WA 98036 FROM: Ann Bullis, Assistant Building Official Xr RE: Revision to Permit #2006-0412 Project: Employee Benefits of America — Revision to site plan Project Address: 22817 102'd Place West During review of the plazas for the above noted project, it was found that the following information, clarifications or changes are needed. Provide written responses to each comment and where changes can be found on the plans. Submit 2 sets of revised plans/documents to Marie Harrison, Permit Coordinator. The following are Building Division comments for site plan changes only. Additional comments will be forthcoming from other reviewing departments for Civil plan and Landscape plan changes. Please coordinate changes made to all plans and submit 3 sets of full-size revised sheets drawn to scale. 1. Changes have been made to the site plan without first obtaining City approval. Show all as -built and proposed changes on the site plan. For all rockeries and retaining walls, show location, top and bottom wall elevations, existing grades (prior to development) and proposed grades to clearly show cut and fill soil areas. See enclosed retaining wall and rockery handouts for complete submittal information. 2. As noted in Correction Notice issued by Jeannie McConnell on 12/8/2006 and in City handout, rockeries are not permitted to retain fill. Per special inspection reports from Geo Group NW dated 11/27/06 and 1.2/20/06, the rockeries constructed on site do retain fill. These will need to replaced with retaining wall structures (see retaining wall handout). 3. In the Geo Group report dated 11127/07, the plans, details, calculations need to clearly show and address the retaining wall/rockery issue on the north side of the property (see page 3 & 4 of the report). As noted in the City's rockery handout, rockeries are also not permitted to support a surcharge.
