Provide written responses to each comment and where changes can be found on the plans. Submit 2 sets of revised plans/documents to Theresa Umbaugh, Permit Coordinator. 1. Provide floor areas and occupant load calculations for each tenant space. 2. On the second floor plan, provide occupant load calculation for conf. 222 and 223 combined. 3. Clearly distinguish the parameters of each tenant space on the floor plans. 4. IBC 1013.2.1 Multiple Tenants states that where more than one tenant occupies any one floor of a building or structure, each tenant space shall be provided with access to the required exits without passing through adjacent tenant spaces. For example, on the second floor, occupants of suite 250 must have access to 2 exits from the story. Based on the current plan, they would have to pass through another tenant space to access the north stair exit which is not permitted. 5. Clearly show and dimension the worst case common paths of egress travel on each floor for each tenant space. It cannot exceed 100 feet to the first point where access to 2 exits is available. IBC 1013.3 and 1013.2 definition 6. Dimension minimum accessible maneuvering distances at the following doors (see enclosed handout): 253, 251, 223A, 229, 123, 122 for width of hallway, 133, 134, and 144. 7. Lunch room 238 must be accessible. 8. A portion of the reception desk/counter in each tenant space must be accessible. See ICC/ANSI A117.1 Section 904 for width, height and clear floor space requirements. Provide details showing compliance. 9. Clarify "door schedule notes" on sheet A2.3. What information are you trying to convey? 10. On door schedule, provide door hardware information so it can be verified that it will be meet exiting and accessibility requirements for locking devices and type of door handle. 11. If you know the business names for the tenants, please note them on the plans for the appropriate suites. Chapter 4.
