During re -review of the above noted application, it was found that the following information, corrections, or clarifications are needed. Please redline plans or submit two (2) sets of revised plans/documents (affected sheets only) with a written response to each of the items below to a Permit Coordinator. 1) ok 2) ok 3) This item was addressed for the cantilever only. Still need for the master bedlbath/closet area. 2x8 joists will not accommodate R-30 insulation. Upgrade to 2x10 or specify rigid insulation on the plans. ok 4) Joist size is called out but not spacing. Assuming they are 2x8 at 16" o.c. they do not fall into the conventional cantilever table R502.3.3(1). Provide calculations including attachment to existing joists or re -design to meet table R502.3.3(1).For the living room cantilevered bay window specify joist size, back span distance and attachment to existing joists. This connection is non -conventional so calculations are also required to justify. 5) 1 still do not see joist size or spacing called out for this area and table R502.3.3(l) for cantilevers supporting light frame exterior bearing walls requires a 3:1 backspan ratio. Please revise to met conventional or provide calculations to justify what is shown on the plans. For the second floor bedroom cantilever specify joist size. This area does not appear to meet the minimum requirements of table R502.3.3(1) for size or back span ratio.
