Provide written responses to each comment and where changes can be found on the plans. Submit revised plans/documents to Marie Harrison, Permit Coordinator. 1. . Provide manufacturer's installation instructions for AC units and dryers. 2. Note on the plans the actual total length of the vent for each new dryer 3. Dryer booster fans are not permitted in the IMC. 4. At existing laundry rooms, note whether new dryers are being provided. If new, verify that each dryer duct length meets the maximum permitted by the manufacturer. 5. Note for each duct (dryer duct, exhaust duct, etc.) how 1 -hour fire rated walls and floor -ceilings will be maintained, such as with vertical shafts, soffits not affecting the 1 -hour assemblies, gyp lined joist bays (see detail on D3 of the approved architectural plans), etc.). 6. Architectural plans note that the existing Type I hood will be remodeled. Provide plans for the Type I Hood and complete the enclosed worksheet attached to the handout. The City is currently holding the issuance of the Type I Hood Suppression permit to insure it is coordinated with the plans for the remodeled Type I Hood. 7. Minimum 50 cfm exhaust fans are required in remodeled restrooms 225, 226, 335, & 339. Also in new hydro room 109. 8. Include the gas fire place on the mechanical plans. 9. A Type H hood is required at the dishwasher in the main commercial kitchen. This has not been included in any of the other hood permit applications (we currently have Type II hood applications for the oven in the main commercial kitchen (#2006-1281), and the hoods in Activity Rooms 110 & 113 (#2007-0338)). 10. Mechanical room 136: a. Provide combustion air calculations for Mechanical 136. Show all mechanical equipment in this room on the plans and take into account in dryer combustion air calcs. b. Provide sizing calculation for multiple -dryer exhaust duct in Mechanical 136. c. Note the requirements of IMC 504.7 on the plans, such as minimum 6" duct clearance to combustible materials, continuously or interlocking fan, etc. d. A single 14x14 combustion air opening is shown on the plans where 2 high/low openings are required (IMC 702.3.1). Please clarify. 11. Note on the plans how the ducts on the roof, exposed to weather, will be connected. 12. Provide calculation for supply air, taking into account all exhaust systems (oven, dishwasher, Type I hood, etc.).
