RE: Plan Check # 2007-0347
Project: Interior Remodel
Project Address: 20105 Maplewood Drive
During review of the above noted application, it was found that the following information,
corrections, or clarifications are needed. Please redline plans or submit two (2) sets of revised
plans/documents (affected sheets only) with a written response to each of the items below to a
Permit Coordinator.
1) On sheet A2.02 the new stair shows 9" tread depth and code minimum is 10" please revise stairs
accordingly.
2) Master bedroom fireplace is required to be direct vent. Please verify if it is direct vent and
whether it vents out the side of the house or the roof. If out the side provide detail showing vent
location in proximity to electrical meter. Also, note #13 at this location calls out electrical panel
(breaker box). Please verify location and clarify. Fireplace should not bock access to the
electrical panel.
3) Per letter dated March 9, 2007 by Jeannine Graf, Building Official a copy of the State Electrical
Permit is required. Please provide copy.
4) Update all code references on sheet S0.01 from Uniform Building Code and Seattle Building
Code to the currently adopted applicable International Building Codes.
5) Provide complete gravity (beam) calculations for all proposed beams.
6) Cross reference all details to their location on the plan and cross off any that are not applicable
to this project (i.e. A/S8.01).
7) The lower floor plan says no changes to this area and that it is unheated. Please provide as -built
floor plan for existing lower floor and specify use of space (i.e. storage). Also since this area is
unheated please show separation between floors (i.e. exterior rated, weather stripped door).
8) Detail. 1/A3.03 does not meet conventional construction. Provide detail and calculations
stamped and signed by a Washington State Licensed Professional Engineer.
