During review of the above noted application, it was found that the following information,
corrections, -or clarifications are needed. Please redline plans or submit two (2) sets of revised
plans/documents (affected sheets only) with a written response to each of the items below to a
Permit Coordinator.
1) Site plan submitted does not appear to be to scaled. Please provide site plan scaled no smaller
than 1"=20' on 8 112" x 14" or smaller paper.
2) All wood exposed to weather must be pressure treated. Please note on plans that all wood is
pressure treated.
3) Specify size and spacing of ledger lag screws. Maximum size and spacing is 3/8"4 %2" at 3" o.c.
or provide calculations stamped and signed by a Washington State Licensed Professional
Engineer.
4) Specify width of footings. If top part of footing is pre -manufactured pier block and then poured
concrete around it the footings will not meet conventional construction and must either be
replaced with 12"xl2"x12" solid poured concrete or provide calculations stamped and signed by
a Washington State Licensed Professional Engineer to justify existing footings.
5) Because the posts exceed 8' please provide axial load calculations.
