RE: Plan Check # 2007-0559
Project: Hall Carport Enclosure
Project Address: 818 Bell Street.
During review of the above noted application, it was found that the following information,
corrections, or clarifications are needed. Please redline plans or submit two (2) sets of revised
plans/documents (affected sheets only) with a written response to each of the items below to a
Permit Coordinator.
1) Please add the following information to the site plan.
• Site plan submitted appears to be fore a previous second story addition. Please clearly revise
plan to show that this permit is to convert the existing carport to shed/workshop.
■ Height calculations on plan were for the house. Please remove these from the plan.
Please show distance between this structure and the house.
You may redline pians or resubmit three (3) new site plans scaled no smaller than 1 "=20' and
one on paper no larger than 8 1/z" x 14".
2) The location of the structure does not meet the minimum fire separation distance to the property
line of R302. A one hour fire -resistive rating wall will be required along the West wall of the
structure. See attached for sample 1 hour listed and tested fire rated assemblies. Also, along this
wall 4" maximum eaves are permitted. Please dimension eaves along this wall.
3) Provide complete framing/foundation plans. See attached handout for sample plans.
4) Provide wall section detail from the foundation through the roof See attached handout for
sample section detail.
5) All exterior walls are required to have a continuous foundation. Plans show cement block and
concrete floor. This does not meet conventional construction. Provide calculations stamped and
signed by a Washington State Licensed Professional Engineer or revise to meet conventional.
foundation system.
