Dear Mr. Johnson,
I have requested additional information from you on several occasions in order to determine if the new
rd
garden windows installed at your property at 233 3 Avenue North meet the required setbacks for the
zone or if they perhaps comply with the revised nonconforming chapter of the Edmonds Community
Development Code (ECDC 17.40.020.D.3). I have yet to receive any information in writing confirming
that the windows are compliant.
If you feel that the windows are not compliant, please submit a reasonable window replacement and
installation schedule (in writing to Building Official Ann Bullis) within the next two weeks for
consideration that describes when you expect to have the windows replaced. We’re happy to work with
you to find a reasonable schedule for bringing the building into compliance. If you feel that the windows
are indeed compliant, please submit a revised site plan as well as elevation views illustrating the garden
windows to Senior Permit Coordinator Theresa Umbaugh for review. Either way, we need to resolve this
issue.
