Please respond to the following: a.The worksheet used is from King County and has unit prices dated 2/12/02. The unit prices need to be adjusted to reflect annual cost index increases since that date. Please revise the the cost estimate accordingly and provide the data to backup the annual inflation factor applied. Or if you would like to use a factor of 28.27%, which was recently provided to us by another engineer, we would find this acceptable. b.Please provide a cost estimate for the following: Filter socks · Add driveway approach or increase curb, gutter & sidewalk quantities · th Include asphalt quantities for improvements in 240 St SW – 3” ACP, 4” rock. · 5.The storm drainage resubmittal is currently being reviewed by Don Fiene, Assistant City Engineer, and any comments he may have will follow these plan corrections. Sheet 4 – TESC PLAN 1. Please incorporate Development Standards for Erosion and Sedimentation Control verbatim from Edmonds Community Development Code 18.30.050. I did not realize this was not part of the plan set in the last review. DATE FAXED 2/6/08 PAGE 1 of 3 Sheet 5 – SITE PLAN 1.ok 2.ok 3.ok 4.ok 5.ok 6.ok 7.Show the location of the rockery on this plan sheet. 8.Provide reference to the Roadway Section provided on Sheet 9 9.Trash enclosure shall have a concrete pad. This note can be a redline on the plans. Sheet 7 – STORM DRAIN PLAN 1.Rockery drainage system shall be connected to the outfall side of the detention system. Sheet 11 – WATER AND SEWER PLAN th 1.9/19/07 comment - The sewer lateral shall connect to the SSMH in 240 per standard detail E6.1 instead of tapping the main. 2/6/08 – The above comment was made as the connection point shown on the previous submittal was in · very close proximity to the sewer manhole. The revised plan sheet however shows connection to the sewer manhole with lateral flows against the direction of the channel flows. If the sewer lateral connection is not proposed to be within 3’ of the manhole then it is okay to tap the main line. Otherwise, please connect to the manhole in a manner that will allow for lateral flows to be in the same direction as the channel flows. 2.ok 3.ok 4.ok 5.ok 6.ok 7.For clarity, please grey line type for storm detention system, piping and bioswale this sheet. 8.Please revise Notes as follows and show locations of existing water and sewer lines: 1. Provide 10’ horizontal separation between water and sewer. 2. Sewer laterals to be plugged at the property line per City standards. Water services to be cut and capped at the main. Sheet 12 – TRAFFIC CONTROL PLAN 1. Please revise the traffic control plan to show construction signage for west bound traffic. Also, show the th location of the existing traffic calming devices (chicanes) on 240 St SW. DATE FAXED 2/6/08 PAGE 2 of 3 Landscape Plan and Site Plan – Sheets 3 and 4 of 16 2/6/08 – It does not appear as though the comments from 9/19/07 have been addressed. 1.9/19/07 comment - Please remove the notes pertaining to installation of utilities and frontage improvements. The civil plans shall be referred to for this information. 2.9/19/07 comment - Show the location of the biofiltration swale and rockery/retaining wall on the landscape plan. Will the Willow tree be in conflict with this system? 3.9/19/07 comment - Show the location of the water meter on this plan sheet. 4.The landscape legend still calls out for an automatic irrigation system, but the response letter indicates and irrigation system is not proposed.
