The above referenced project is in the process of plan review for compliance with
Edmonds ordinances and applicable codes (Fire Suppression only). The following
comments, deficiencies/corrections must be addressed prior to completion of pians review
and subsequent issuance of permits.
Provide revised plans and calculations along with a written response to each of the items
listed below to facilitate a shorter back -check time.
SCOPE OF REVIEW
The scope of this review is for Fire Suppression requirements of this project.
All features were checked only to the extent allowed by the submittals provided. All
portions of this project are assumed to Meet or will meet other departmental requirements,
conditions and concerns before permit approval.

1. Calculations: Your calculations only extend back to the 4 inch standpipe. Please
provide water supply data that shows that the required flow and pressure are available
at the connection to the 4 inch standpipe. NFPA 13, 14.4.1.3

2. Provide a longitudinal brace on the 2 inch main located by the hydraulic design area.
NFPA 13, 9.3.5.4
3. Rooms E3019, E3022A, and E3024 thru E3028 have water closets (toilet rooms) in
them. These are required to have sprinklers in them. Either verify that they are already
there or provide them and show on the plans. NFPA 13, 8. 1.1
4. Show and provide a sprinkler head in the entry vestibule for room E3019. NFPA 13,
8.1.1
Your plans are being reviewed concurrently with the Building Department, Fire
Department, Zoning Department and Public Works Engineering. Changes, clarifications
or additional corrections may be required subsequent to the Building Department plan
review when comments are received from the other concerned departments.
