Project: Interior Remodel
Project Address: 643 Edmonds Way
During review of the above noted application, it was found that the following information,
corrections, or clarifications are needed. Please redline plans or submit two (2) sets of revised
plans/documents (affected sheets only) with a written response to each of the items below to a
Permit Coordinator.
1) For area marked "future demo and addition" please specify use of space. For purposes of this
permit this space must be called out.
2) Specify location of kitchen. R306.2 requires that every dwelling unit have a kitchen (sink and
cooking facilities).
3) Specify if all the bedroom windows meets the minimum egress requirements of R310 (44" max
sill height, 20" minimum net clear opening width, 24" minimum net clear opening height with
minimum 5.7 square foot net clear opening.
4) Show location of smoke detectors. Per R313 one is required in each sleeping room and in the
hallway outside each separate sleeping area. Smoke detectors must be hardwired and
interconnected with battery backup.
5) Specify if fireplace in the new master bedroom will be gas. If so it must be a direct vent. Note on
. plans.
6) Minimum 50 cfrn fans are required in each bathroom and in the laundry room. Note on plans.
Also, 100 cfm minimum fan will be require din the kitchen.
7) R311.4 requires one exit out of each residence not less than 3' side -hinged door. Please specify
which door meets this requirement.
