Lesley,
On January 9, 2008 I sent plan corrections in review of the foundation only
plan submittal. Those
plan corrections were responded to via e-mail by Tony Shapiro on the same day. In conversation
with Tony Shapiro I had asked that the revisions be submitted to Marie Harrison, including revised,
full size plan sheets where applicable.
In looking through the file it doesnt appear as though a full resubmittal was ever made to Marie or
it was unclear what the submittal was for and therefore it was never reassigned to me for review. At
any rate, knowing this is an outstanding issue, I have gone back through the e-mails that Tony sent
to me and in response I am providing you with the following comments.
1.Two site section details #19 & #7 (Looking west at South PL) were provided via e-mail,
showing the location of the ecology block wall in relation to the travel lanes and the proposed
building. These details provide the information I had requested and need to be provided to the
City on a full size plan sheet. It is possible they are part of A1.1, which we received a revised
copy of on February 5, 2008, but some of the details on this sheet were cut off. Please resubmit.
2.Please provide confirmation from the Engineer of Record that the ecology blocks are to be
placed on native soils at the top of the cut slope. The details provided are on an architectural
plan sheet that do not have a licensed engineers stamp.
The ecology blocks will be required in conjunction with the grading for the site. For this reason,
please resubmit this information as part of the site civil construction drawings which are required to
be approved prior to receiving your grading permit. The permit numbers in which the civils are
currently being reviewed under are bld20070640-bld20070645. Also, a separate grading permit has
been applied for under permit number bld20071048.
