During re -review of the above noted application, it was found that the following information,
corrections, or clarifications are needed. Please redline plans or submit two (2) sets of revised
plans/documents (affected sheets only) with a written response to each of the items below to a
Permit Coordinator.
1) 1128108 Please note this information on the plans. Note garage/dwelling separation on plans.
Minimum %2" sheetrock required on garage side of wall and 5/8" type X on the ceiling when
there is habitable space above and minimum 20 minute rated or 1 3/8" solid core door.
2) 1128108 A continuous foundation is still not shown on the detail and is required by code for
all exterior walls. Provide a section detail through old garage door/new window from
foundation through the roof. Per R403.1 all exterior walls must be supported on a continuous
foundation. Show how wall is supported and how it is protected form weather at the base.

6) 1128108 The Building Official is willing to accept upgrading ceiling insulation to R-38
throughout the existing house in lieu of R-30 floor insulation. If this is chosen then it must
be complete by final of this permit and noted on the plans. Heated space requires minimum R-
30 floor insulation or R-10 under slab insulation. Specify how the minimum floor insulation will
be obtained or a component performance analysis will be required (see item 5 above).
7) .128108 Please note this information on the plans. Because this room has a closet it is
considered a sleeping room. Window must meet egress and a smoke detector is required inside
the room and in the hall outside. Please note on plans.
