RE: Permit #2007-0179
Project: Fresh Vitamins
Project Address: 8129 Lake Ballinger Way, 101
The Fire Marshal has informed our office that only a small portion of the tenant space is being used
as retail space, while the remaining portion is used as storage. This is a deviation from the approved
plans.
As I stated during a phone conversation with you last week, revised plans (stamped and signed by
the architect of record) must be submitted addressing the revised uses of space and occupancy, as
well as access to exits, restrooxns, accessible route of travel, and any other changes that may have
occurred.
In response to my request, on February 7, 2008, you submitted a letter and photos from the business
owner regarding a moveable wall system currently in place (without City approval). The moveable
wall system is regulated under the IBC and must be shown on the architect's revised plans, and also
provide the manufacturer's information, structural and seismic information, etc. The architect needs
to justify how the use of this moveable wall system can be done without creating code violations
when the walls are moved by the tenants (such as blocking exits, blocking line of sight for exit
signs, blocking exit and accessible paths of travel, access to restrooms, etc.).
Please resubmit 2 sets of revised plans and documents to Theresa Umbaugh, Permit Coordinator.
