During review of the above noted revision, it was found that the following information, corrections,
or clarifications are needed.
1) 21141082 d Review. Based on additional review of the plans I was unaware that you were also
proposing to enclose a portion of the existing garage and enclose the furnace and water
heater. Provide calculations for proposed 51/8"x 15" GLB as well as foundation
calculations for the side that will be supported at the connection of the new foundation to
existing. Plans still show a sliding glass door and landing off the East side of the storage
addition but the site plan does not show the landing. Based on my conversation with Ed Sibrel
nothing is permitted to encroach in that area not even a step or landing. Also, when the addition
was in line with the existing house it meet conventional wall bracing because the existing wall
was taken into consideration. Now that it is inset it no longer meets conventional wall bracing.
Some options would be to replace the door with a window and provide later calculations
stamped and signed by a Washington State Licensed Professional Engineer or Relocate
door/window to another wall where it would meet conventional construction or eliminate all
together.
