Please provide written responses as to where the changes can be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a Permit Coordinator. Sheet A-5 1.On the West elevation, please clarify what the 3’-6” dimension refers to. It is not clear whether this is the height of the parapet, the guard, or something else. 2.The exhaust outlet on the roof must be at least 10 feet from the property line and 10 feet from openings into the building per IMC 501.2.1 #5. It will also need to be screened per 501.2.2. Please provide a (partial) roof plan showing compliance to these code sections. Include a description or detail of the horizontal portion of the exhaust duct. 3.Please modify the Typical Duct Section detail to show the correct depth of the framed wall on the east side of the air shaft. From onsite inspection, I recall these studs as being oriented to create a 3½” wide stud cavity (not 1½” as shown.) Please be aware that testing of the airflow through this duct system will be required as indicated in my email message of 1/27/11.
