Description of Violation: Erosion control and stabilization measures not implemented and/or
maintained.
Corrective Action Required:. la) Stabilize lower lot landscape. lb) Install permanent hillside
stabilization. lc) Clean dirt and debris from roadway.
Be advised, the person(s) to whom this Notice is issued is being assessed $100.00 per day, or portion
of a day, during which the violation continues. The imposed monetary penalties are immediately
due and payable to the City of Edmonds at 121 5th Avenue North, Edmonds, WA 98020 during
normal City business hours. Fines shall continue to accrue at the rate of $1.00.00 per day until this
matter is resolved to the satisfaction of the City.
Further, if correction is not made by 4:00pm (time) April 10, 2008 (date) an abatement notice may be
issued warning of impending City abatement of the violation. Any and all costs, including incidental
costs, will be added to the monetary penalties assessed against the persort(s) to whom the Notice is issued.
Note, this decision is appealable to the City of Edmonds Hearing :Examiner by filing a complete
appeal application including written notice of appeal with the Development Services Director no
later than March _10,_2008 at 4:00 p.m. The appeal filing fee is $605.00.

Description of Violation: Erosion. control and stabilization measures not implemented. Other specific
re uirements for bond release as outlined in corrective actions.
Corrective Action Required: 1) Please contact the Engineering department by March 19, 2008
with your plans and timeline to complete the work necessary. 1a) Stabilize lower lot landscape.
1 b) Install permanent hillside stabilization.
Before the performance bond can be released:
1) Complete inside drop in side sewer manhole where lateral ties in. 2) Replace CB lid at NW
corner of lower lot with vaned grate, 3) Redo asphalt patch in front of curb and gutter.
Disintegrating in patches. 4) Replace damaged lower lot curb and gutter at curb cut. 5)
Provide access to inspect lower lot drainage system. 6) Remove construction debris from lower
lot. 7) Remove dirt and debris from street. 8) Replace CB lid at NE corner of upper lot with
vaned grate, complete mudding. 9) Unblock open drain line at NE corner of upper lot. 10)
Provide copy of recorded short plat for City of Edmonds records.
Correction is Required no later than: 4:00pm (time) March 19, 2008 (date)
If correction is not made by the date and time specified in the Order, a Notice of
Civil Violation shall be issued. The Notice of Civil Violation shall assess fines of
$100.00 per day, or portion of a day, during which the violation continues,

Performance Bond for Short Plat 05-172
Dear Mr. Arnim,
I am writing this letter regarding the results of the February 9, 2008 inspection of your short plat at
1 128 Viewland Way.
There are erosion control issues on the site that are hazardous and need to be corrected
immediately. Please contact the Engineering department by March 0, 2008 with your plans and
timeline to complete the work necessary.
I) Stabilize lower lot landscape.
2) Install permanent hillside stabilization.
The following are remaining issues that must be addressed before the performance bond can be
released:
