The purpose of this letter is to inform your office that the building permit application for tenant
improvement remodeling for the tenant John L. Scott, at 313 Main Street has expired before
issuance. Because the remodeling work was performed in advance of permit approval and
issuance the City shall require that a new permit application and applicable fees be submitted in
order to approve this work.
Please be advised, the Architect of Record will need to update the plans to the current 2006
edition of the International Building Code and if the changes are minor it is permissible for the
plans to be redlined at City Hall. Also there were outstanding Building and Fire Department
comments from December of 2006 that have never been addressed.
Please contact Marie Harrison, Senior Permit Coordinator regarding the submittal fees. The City
expects the new permit application to be filed by no later than September 27, 2007 and the plans
updated and all outstanding comments responded to by no later than October 11, 2007 so that a
permit may be issued.
If the Architect has any questions regarding the outstanding plan review comments please feel
free to contact the specific reviewer.
If there are circumstances beyond your control that will prevent you from filing the new
application or providing the updated plans by the assigned deadlines please respond in writing
and suggest alternate elates.
