Release of Covenant. For reasons noted above, the Sale Prohibition Covenant of Multiunit Residential Building attached as Exhibit A, dated 8/25/2008 and numbered 200808250546, never became legally effective or enforceable. And to the extent it did, the same is hereby released and henceforth shall have no legally operative effect whatsoever. 2. Preservation of Regulatory Authority. Nothing herein shall be construed as abridging or otherwise limiting the full regulatory authority of the City of Edmonds. This preservation of authority specifically includes, but is not limited to, the City's right to require .the Owner or any future owner of the Property to, as a condition of regulatory pen -nit issuance, execute a new covenant appropriately restricting the use of the Property.
