I have reviewed the above building permit application for the Planning Division and it was found that the following
information, corrections, or clarifications will need to be addressed before review can continue. If you have any

Please provide a written response to the items mentioned below…
1.Critical Areas:
Pursuant to the critical areas reconnaissance report dated 5/29/08 (CRA-2008-58), this site is
located within 800 feet of an active and/or recent bald eagle nest. Accordingly, the applicant must show written
evidence of compliance with the requirements of the Washington State Department of Fish & Wildlife for any
building permit proposed on this site. Please submit this written documentation from the WSDFW for our
records. I’ve provided you with some contact information, below:

2.Height:
The maximum height of detached accessory buildings in residential zones is 15 feet. It appears that
your project will increase the overall height of the building (but I recognize that the new addition appears to be
just under 15 feet). Unfortunately, the entire building (existing and proposed) needs to remain under 15 feet,
and it appears that bumping out the structure in that direction would bring the existing ridge just over 15 feet.
Please re-design so that the entire building remains under the height limit. I’d be happy to explain this further.
