Please provide a written response to the items mentioned below… 1.Critical Areas Checklist: I searched our database but could not locate a Critical Areas “determination” for your property. A determination is required when any digging is proposed with a building permit (new posts are proposed). Please fill out, sign, and submit (along with the $135 review fee) a Critical Areas Checklist for the site. If you have already submitted one, please provide me with the file number so I can look up your determination in our system – thank you. 2.Landscaping: Freestanding signs require landscaping at the base of the sign in the amount of twice the size of the sign area, pursuant to ECDC 20.60.045.G.1 (if your sign is proposed at 36 square feet, 72 square feet of landscaping at the base of the sign is required. Please show this area on the site plan and indicate the plantings proposed (if there is existing landscaping, please indicate on site plan). If there is not enough room in this location for that amount of landscaping, please either (1) move the sign to a location that works best for you, or (2) try reducing the area of the sign to decrease the amount of landscaping required – thank you. : 3.Existing Signage I need to make sure you have enough sign area left onsite for a 36 square foot monument sign. Please submit the area of the existing wall signs for your site so I can calculate how much signage you have remaining – thank you.
