Project Address: 658 Maple St.
During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can
be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a Permit Coordinator.
1. Architect to sign and date plans
2. The datum point to establish the building height must be a permanent point of reference. Use
the top of a manhole cover, fire hydrant, or street monument. See City handout #B41.
3. The engineering package provided references seismic zone D1 instead of the correct D2 zone.
EOR to address.
4. The engineering calculation package calls out sill plate and holdown anchorage to a concrete
foundation. The existing foundation is CMU, with no indication of size, reinforcement, or
footings. EOR to address.
5. Provide full sized engineering L page including floor plans, holdown locations, floor plans,
collar tie detail, etc. It would acceptable to copy the illustrative pages from the calculation
package onto a full sized sheet.
6. Provide construction details including waterproofing of upper balcony.
7. Provide landing details -joists, beams, footings, attachments,etc..
8. Provide siding and flashing details for openings.
