During review of the subject submittal, it was found that the following information, corrections, or
clarifications would need to be addressed. All Handouts referred to in these comments can be accessed at
our website: www.ci.edmonds.wa.us under City Government / Development Services Department 1
Engineering Division then scroll down to Handouts:
1. Clearly indicate on site plan the location of the end of the current driveway and the beginning of the
proposed driveway.
2. Is the access road paved at 236th St or is it all gravel? Edmonds Community Development Code (ECDC)
Chapterl8.80.060, C.1 "Driveway approaches shall extend from the edge of the existing street a distance of 20
feet or to the edge of the property line, whichever is greater. Approaches shall be constructed of asphalt,
concrete pavement or an equivalent approved by the City Engineer." Please show on plan portion of access that
has existing pavement or show area that will be paved to meet code requirements.
3. Driveway access road to the proposed garage shall be a minimum width of loft. Please indicate on site plan
driveway width at narrowest point or just note on plan "driveway width min 1Oft".
4. What drainage system is used for the house? Splashblock can only be used for downspouts on the
proposed structure if that is the system used on the existing structures.
Please resubmit 3 copies of the revised plans/documents to a Development Services Coordinator. Please
