During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can
be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to Theresa Umbaugh, Senior Permit
Coordinator. Thank you.
1.The drawings indicate that demolition of the previous tenant spaces will be done under a
separate contract by the landlord. The City of Edmonds currently has no record of permit
applications for this work. Before a permit for the Dollar Tree tenant improvement can
be issued, a permit for said demolition must be issued, or the demolition must be
included in the scope of the TI permit and shown on the drawings.
2.The minimum distance between the two required exits is one-half of the overall diagonal
(153/2=76.5). The exit doors shown only measure 74 between. Please revise the
design accordingly. IBC 1015.2.1
3.Please provide a fixture plan showing the location and heights of all storage shelving and
merchandise racking. If any of these units exceed 5-9 in height (measured to the shelf
level), please provide seismic anchorage calculations and details designed, stamped and
signed by a Washington State licensed professional engineer.
