During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can
be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a Permit Coordinator. Thank you.
1.Please indicate on the plans the location of Building F on the lot. It is not clear which building
this is, as the buildings on the reference drawings are numbered, not lettered.
2.Please indicate on the front of the plans the scope of work, including a clear delineation of the
extent of the reconstruction of Building F. Include the extent of roof framing and roof covering
alterations. (Previous email correspondence had indicated that the roof deck will be completely
replaced over the entire building.) A reduced scale site plan (on the front page) would be
helpful.
3.Engineer of Record, please provide a statement of your evaluation of the existing slab and
foundation as to its current structural viability.
4.Provide basic building code information on the front of the plans as to which code is used, type
of construction, occupancy group, and floor area of the entire building as well as the
reconstructed portion.
5.Accessibility for the building is required per IBC Chapter 11. Depending on the number of units
in the building, several units shall be accessible, the number dispersed between classes of unit
type. Accessible units with man doors shall have accessible doorways as per ANSI A117.1
Section 404 (with 32 clear opening, lever style hardware, maximum ½ high threshold, etc.)
Accessible units with overhead doors may have a compliant man door added, or provide an
automatic overhead door opener with battery backup and interior and exterior controls. IBC
1103.2.2, 3409.6 and 1108.3
6.Please complete the attached Special Inspection Agreement form attached.
7.Please address the attached structural comments from Eagle Eye Consulting.
