RE: Residential Underground Heating Oil Tank at 21522 96th Avenue West
in Edmonds, WA.
This is to certify that Filco Company Inc., has pumped out, triple rinsed,
inerted and removed one 300 gallon underground residential heating oil
tank from the above named property. The tank and it's contents were
disposed of according to the codes and guidelines set forth by the
Washington State Department of Ecology and local fire code regulations
and the decommissioned tank meets these standards.
Upon removal of the tank from the ground, perforations were observed to
the tank, one soil sample from below the base of the tank was retrieved and
analyzed for Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons (TPH) using method NWTPH-
Dx at Friedman and Bruya, Inc., Environmental Chemists. The sample
results confirmed the presence of TPH in the amount of 31,000 Parts Per
Million (PPM) which is above the Model Toxics Control Act clean up level
of 2,000 PPM of TPH.
At you request the excavation was left open and no further work was done
by Filco Company, Inc..
