Please provide written responses as to where the changes can be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to Marie Harrison, Senior Permit Coordinator. Thank you. Sheet A-0.0 1.Allowable area calculations for non-separated uses shall be based on the the most restrictive allowances for the the occupancy groups under consideration. Please revise the calculations using the values for U occupancy group in Table 503. Include all increases used for area modifications. IBC 508.3.2.2 2.Please show the occupant load for the mezzanine separately from the main floor. Include an occupant load factor of 50 for the locker area. General 3.Please indicate how emergency lighting is provided. IBC 1006.1 4.Please show exit signs on the plans. IBC 1011.1 5.The alterations require accessibility upgrades per WAC 51.50 (IBC 3409.7). On the plans clearly show that the entire accessible route of travel complies with current code, or provide upgrades per the previously referenced section. If you choose to use exception #1 of that section, provide a letter stamped and signed by the architect (reference the code exception), stating the overall project cost, 20% of the project cost, and list the accessibility upgrades that will be done as part of this permit as well as showing that the total cost of the upgrades is at least 20%. 6.Please show on the plans how the parking garage meets the ventilation requirements of VIAQ Section 304. 7.Unless the generator is listed as a deferred and separate permit, please provide manufacturer specifications for the unit, including details for seismic anchorage. If the manufacturerÂ’s design is not specific to seismic zone D, the anchorage design will need to be provided by a Washington state licensed structural engineer. If you choose to defer this permit please list it on the main page of the plans. Please respond to the attached structural comments by SCBC Engineering. Page 2 of 2
