Dear Mr. Moe:
According to Building Division records, the above referenced permits will expire in June
2010. Edmonds Community Development Code (ECDC) 19.00.005.6.4 states if
applicant cannot complete work issued under an extended permit of two (2) years, the
applicant nra)� request in writing, prior to the second year expiration, all extension for
a third and final year. Provided there has been at least one (1) required progress
inspection conducted by the building inspector prior to the extension, the permit shall
be extended for a third and final year. In lieu ofperrnit fees for the third year
extension, inspection fees shall be charged for the remaining work based on the
number of required inspections remaining for the project for all city departments.
The grading permit is not renewable and will need to be replaced with a new permit.
Note: Building permit fees and time frames are established by the Edmonds Community
Development Code and cannot be waived by the Building Official. If you do not receive
your final or do not renew your permit prior to the expiration date, all fees and a new
permit application are required. If you have decided to cancel this project, please notify
us in writing so that we may close out this file.
