Please provide written responses as to where the changes can be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to Marie Harrison, Senior Permit Coordinator. If you wish, you may come into our office to make the changes to both sets previously submitted. Thank you. 1.Please identify the use of each room, such as Office, Conference Room, Storage, etc. This allows us to apply the appropriate code provisions to those spaces and the entire building. 2.Show on the plans the location and details for the accessible parking stall sign. Details are available in our office if you need. IBC 1110.1 and ANSI A117.1 Section 502.7 3.Show on the plans the location and details for the ramp handrailings. a.Handrails are required on both sides of ramp and must provide 36 inches clear between them. IBC 1010.8 b.Show minimum 12 inch extensions at top and bottom of handrails. IBC 1012.6 4.Show how ramp and landing edge protection is provided, either by a 4 inch high curb, or a horizontal barrier within 4 inches of the walking surface. IBC 1010.9 5.Please indicate the size of framing members and footings for the porch and ramp. 6.Indicate on the plans lever style hardware for all doors. IBC 1008.1.9.1 7.Indicate on the plans that the main entry door has a flush landing and a maximum ½ inch high threshold. IBC 3411.4.2 8.The non-bearing wall at the end of the hall is shown as moving 6 inches to the East. Note that a minimum of 12 inches to this wall is required from the latch side of the door to provide an accessible approach to the door. ANSI A117.1 Section 404.2.3.1
