During review of the plans for the -above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can
be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a Permit Coordinator. If you choose,
the alterations to the plans may be made in person by visiting our office. Thank you.
The IBC sections 2308.3.4 states less than 50' between braced wall to foundation, section
2308.12.3 states that the designed braced wall line spacing is more than 25', and 2308.9.3.2 the
design shows panels less than 4' with NO tie -down devices. Please show calculations to justify
or provide foundation hold-downs on plans.
2. Please indicate on the plans how the existing gable end truss is to be tied into the new trusses
after removing the exterior wall line.
3. Provide a minimum 3' landing at the new exterior door.
4. Please clarify the approach to be used for whole house ventilation.
a. Since the VIAQ is no longer adopted by the state, please design by, and use
references to section M1508 of the IRC.
