Project: Harbor Square Athletic Club Spa
Project Address: 160 West Dayton
During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can
be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a Permit Coordinator. Thank you.
1.Please provide verification of application to the Snohomish Health District for the project.
2.Please list on the plans separate permits for Mechanical ventilation of the spa room; Spa
Equipment and Plumbing. Otherwise, provide sufficient information to review those systems
under this permit.
3.Upon a site visit, it was apparent that there is significant information missing from the plans.
It is questionable whether the proposed configuration will allow accessibility to the spa room
and compliance with general egress requirements from the space.
a.Please show the existing concrete ramp complete with slope, and dimensions for
width and length of top and bottom ramp landings. IBC 1010
b.Show level landings at each side of each door, complying with IBC 1008.1.5 and
1008.1.6.
c.Show the raised walkway at the bottom of the ramp.
d.Show the parking stalls on both sides of the spa.
e.Handrails are required on both sides of the ramp. IBC 1010.8
4.Provide safety glazing in the panels next to the ramp (and within 24 inches of the door).
5.Provide safety glazing in the windows adjacent to the spa pool. IBC 2406.4
6.Detail 1/A-2 calls for a fire rated wall system GA file WP8105. Please provide the Gypsum
Manual specifications for the installation of this wall type.
7.Please recalculate the Allowable Area to show a tabular square footage of 14,000 as the base
number, not 18,000. IBC Table 503.
