Project: Harvey -Briggs Addition
Project Address: 8903 188th St SW
During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can
be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a Permit Coordinator.
Engineer of record:
a. Stamp and sign the full sized structural sheets.
b. Beam calcs for the new crawl space beams.
c. Identify the anchor bolt (allthread?) requirements for the retrofit holdowns. Seismic
Hardware Note 3/S2-02 calls for 5/8" anchor bolt, while the Simpson Catalog calls
for 7/8" anchor bolts. Provide calculations if different than the catalog.
d. Provide gravity calculations to justify the foundation design.
e. Provide legible floor plan sketches with wall lines identified for the lateral.
f. Include beam calculations for the master bedroom 12' window opening (3) 2x12's
that carry the girder truss.
g. Follow all point load paths to the foundation. The headers in the master bedroom
wall that includes the 12 opening, does not appear to bear over the intended floor
beams below. The beams may need to be realigned, added, or changed.
2. Provide a constriction detail for the % wall barrier at the edge of stairs that will address the
200# minimum load requirement. The concern is if a short wall is just nailed to the top of the
floor, it could overturn with minimal applied forces.
3. The north arrow direction is different from the A sheets to the S sheets.
4. Provide dimensions on the foundation plan, 52.01
