ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF
EDMONDS BY CHANGING THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION
OF CERTAIN PROPERTY OWNED BY THE CITY FROM R -M,
MULTI -FAMILY RESIDENTIAL, TO B -N, NEIGHBORHOOD
BUSINESS,PURSUANT TO PLANNING ADVISORY BOARD
RECOMMENDATION AND FIXING A TIME WHEN THE SAME
SHALL BECOME EFFECTIVE
WHEREAS, the Planning Advisory Board of the City of
Edmonds, Washington, has held a public hearing regarding the
rezoning of a certain parcel of land in the City of Edmonds owned
by the City of Edmonds, known as the Perrinville site and legally
described herein, from Multi -family Residential (RM) to
Neighborhood Business (BN) and after said hearing forwarded its
recommendations to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the recommendation of the City Planning
Advisory Board recommends said rezone; and
WHEREAS, the City Council after review of the Findings
of Fact and Conclusions and Recommendations of its Planning
Advisory Board, and in accordance with ECDC 20.100.030 determine
that said Findings and Conclusions and Recommendations are
accurate and in conformance with the provisions of the Edmonds
Community Development Code, and the Council therefore adopts said
recommendations as its own in accordance with the provisions of
ECDC 20.100.030, and
WHEREAS, the City Council adopts the finding of its
responsible official that there are no significant adverse
environmental impacts to the surrounding properties which would
result from the adoption of the proposed rezone, NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF EDMONDS, WASHINGTON, DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Official Zoning Map of the City of
Edmonds, Washington, is hereby amended by changing the zoning
classification of a tract of land located between Olympic View
Drive and 76th Avenue West, north of the intersection of said
streets, and legally described as Lot 8, Block 2, Admiralty
Acres, according to the plat thereof recorded in volume 12 of
Plats, page 48, records of Snohomish County, Washington, from RM,
Multi -family Residential, to BN, Neighborhood Business.
Section 2. The Director of the Planning Department is
hereby authorized and directed to effectuate the necessary
amendments to the Zoning Map of the City of Edmonds, Washington,
pursuant to this ordinance.
Section 3. This ordinance, being an exercise of a power
specifically delegated to the City legislative body, is not
subject to referendum, and shall take effect five (5) days after
passage and publication of the attached summary which is hereby
approved.
