During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can
be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to Marie Harrison, Senior Permit
Coordinator. Thank you.
1.Please add a second exit sign in the TV Room as there are two exits required due to
occupant load. IBC 1011.1
2.There appear to be two handicap units that would be considered Type A units under the
current code: Units 103 and 104. Any alterations to these units will need to meet current
standards for accessibilty. Please indicate the following on the plans:
a.A work surface in the kitchen complying with ANSI A117.1 section 1003.12.3, with
a maximum height of 34 inches, minimum length of 30 inches and kneespace
underneath.
b.The controls for the range are at the front of the appliance. ANSI A117.1 section
1003.12.6.5
c.The height of the freezer has 50% of its space below 54 inches. ANSI A117.1 section
1003.12.6.6
d.Lever style hardware on all doors. ANSI A117.1 section 404.2.6
