During review of the plans for the above noted project, it was found that the following information,
clarifications or changes are needed. Please provide written responses as to where the changes can
be found on the plans, and submit revised plans/documents to a permit coordinator. Thank you.
1.The floor plans for the common area (Fitness, Media, etc) on the ground floor do not match
the approved building plans. Please verify the layout on this set is accurate, otherwise adjust
as needed.
2.Please remove the note on sheets M2.0 and M2.1 regarding natural ventilation requiring 4%
openings. It does not pertain to the venting required in the garage.

4.Please show transfer grilles or whatever method will be used to facilitate return air from all
spaces in the ground floor common area.
5.Show a smoke detector in the return duct for FCU-1 since the air flow exceeds 2000 cfm.

6.The exhaust ducts from the Fitness Room and Restrooms penetrate a 3 hour fire wall into the
garage. Show 3 hour fire dampers at these locations. IBC 716.5.1 and IBC Table 716.3.2.1
7.A fire rated shaft is required where the supply duct from RTU-1 penetrates the roof and 2
floors. Provide details for construction of the shaft, including the listing of the rated
assembly. IBC 708.2
8.Please provide stamped and signed calculations and details by a licensed engineer for the
RTU seismic attachments as it exceed 400 lbs. This is to include unit-to-curb and curb-to-
roof attachments.
