Dear Mr. Chelioudakis,
We have reviewed the above building permit application for your project. Before we can sign off on the permit,
however, the following information needs to be clarified in a written response:
General
1. Building permit application materials: The information submitted so far is insufficient to be able
to review your project. The plans do not clearly depict the specific scope of the work. The enclosed
"Residential Addition" handout identifies the information you need to supply so we can continue
our review. Not all items in the handout will pertain to your project, but the information will offer
you guidelines and examples to help you in preparing your drawings. If you have any questions,
please contact a Permit Coordinator here in our office. Or, if you like, I would be happy to discuss
your drawings at the counter in our office.
2. Building permit fees are based on valuation of the project determined by square footage. Based on
the size shown as 490 square feet, the building permit fee will be $465.50. The plan review portion
of this fee ($159.00) will be due upon application. If the actual square footage is other than 490, the
fee will be adjusted accordingly.
3. Because this permit is the result of a code enforcement action, please respond with the required
materials by February 24, 2012, or the project will be turned back over to Code Enforcement.
Building Division
4. Please provide a plan view of the roof framing. See the handout for an example.
5. Please show details of how the "house end" of the new structure is tied in to the house structurally.
Planning Division
6. Critical Areas ' : The City does not have on file a Critical Area Checklist for the site. Please submit
a checklist either online or as part of your resubmittal. There is a one-time $155 fee for critical area
review.
Engineering Division
7. Site Plan: When you submit your site plan please make sure the following items are including on
the Site Plan.
a. The year of construction for all impervious surfaces on your lot (i.e. driveways, roof tops,
sheds, patios, etc.),
b. all structures (i.e. house, fences, retaining walls, rockeries, etc),
c. all existing utilities (sewer, water, and storm)
8. Engineering Requirements: The information submitted is insufficient and therefore engineering is
unable to review the plans at this time. Please include on the Site Plan the impervious surface chart
as shown in handout # E72.

Once the above items are addressed the Building, Engineering and Planning divisions will continue the
review and provide any comments at that time.
